Daniel Riera was born in Olot, Spain. He studied Fine Arts and photography at the University of Barcelona and cinema at the Escola De Mitjans Audiovisuals (EMAV).

Daniel contributes regularly publishing portraits, personal projects and fashion to magazines like Fantastic Man, The Gentlewoman, Kid's Wear, Vanity Fair, G.Q., Hercules, Stiletto, Butt, Fanzine 137, Candy, Butt, A Perfect Magazine, View Of The Times, Monocle, A.D., Velvet, B-Guided and El Pais Semanal among others. In 2012 he's publishing a weekly photo-column contribution for Das Magazin (Switzerland).

His advertising clients include Pedro García, Loewe, Cos, Adidas, Tous, Tommy Hilfiger, Stefanel, Air France, Oysho, Pull & Bear, Women' Secret, Hoss Intropia, Gemma, Lladró and Spastor.
