Born in Akureyri, a small town on the north coast of Iceland. Grew up drawing, painting and building stuff. Also played some basketball and collected basketball cards. Got my first PC, at first I mainly used it to play computer games, but soon I found out I could also draw on it. Found out that there was a profession called graphic design that combined two of my biggest hobbies, computers and drawing. Built my first website, showing some images I had made on the computer. Around this time I also did my first few freelance jobs, not worth showing. Studied fine art in college. Loved drawing and learning art history but hated math and Danish. Got a summer job doing web and poster design for the local art center. Even had my own office. Moved to Reykjavík to study graphic design at the Iceland Academy of the Arts. Started working with my typography teacher, Atli Hilmarsson. Tired of being in Iceland I decided to move to New York to do an internship with karlssonwilker. I wasn't ready to go back to Iceland so I moved to Berlin to study at the Weißensee Kunsthochschule for one semester. Went back to Iceland to finish my studies. For my graduation project I created a big patchwork quilt, inspired by things from my childhood. After graduating I realized graphic design was not my biggest passion anymore, so I relocated to London to focus on drawing. Joined Big Active. Moved back to Berlin where I've been working and living ever since.
