Ina Jang

Ina Jang was born in Seoul, South Korea. She graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York with a BFA in Photography in 2010. In 2012, she received her MPS from the School of Visual Arts' Fashion Photography graduate program.

Her works have been exhibited internationally in numerous galleries and festivals, including the Empty Quarter(Dubai), New York Photo Festival, Tokyo Photo 2011, Unseen 2012(Amsterdam) and Galerie Steph(Singapore).

Over the past few years, Ina has been nominated for numerous awards, including Print Magazine's 20 Under 30 and Flash Forward 2011.

She was chosen as a Foam Talent in 2011, and as a finalist at the Hyères Festival 2011 - she returned to exhibit commissioned fashion work in 2012.

In 2013, Isetan(Tokyo) presented Ina as one of the up and coming 'to-watch' artists working in fashion - highlighting her distinctive and unique practice.

Most recently, Ina was invited by the legendary magazine Camera to talk about her work and inspiration. In an extensive conversation with Jonas Cuénin, Cuénin located Ina's work "somewhere between fashion and fine art, at the junction of photography, drawing, graphic design and sculpture".
Ina's works have been published extensively in such publications as Time Magazine's Light Box, Dear, Dave Magazine, British Journal of Photography, Photo District News, and The New York Times Magazine.

Ina currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
